From rustic barns nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains to elegant vineyards dotting the rolling hills to beautiful brick-scaped indoor venues like Revel, the North Georgia and Upstate South Carolina region offers an enchanting array of wedding venues as diverse as the love stories they hold. As a short-lived thunderstorm loomed over downtown Greenville, South Carolina, an enchanting love story unfolded within the beautiful brick walls of Revel. Nicole & Nicholas’s wedding was nothing short of magical, and I’m honored to have captured it!
This day was more than just a celebration of love; it was a testament to their devotion, their attention to detail, and their own beautiful traditions they wove into their special day. Winter weddings hold their own unique charm, and this onw was no exception. The rich hues of deep reds and emerald greens set against the warm brick and golden lit backdrop created an ambiance that was nothing short of magical. From the first click of my camera, it was evident that this wedding was going to be an amazing one.
Stepping into Revel, you couldn't help but be struck by the atmosphere of warmth and elegance that Nicole had meticulously curated. As a photographer, I am accustomed to observing the finer details, and Nicole's dedication was evident in every corner. From the deep burgundy florals to the elegant centerpieces that adorned each table, Nicole's touch was unmistakable.
What truly stood out, however, was Nicole's wedding dress, a masterpiece she had poured her heart into envisioning. I remember the first time Nicole described her dress to me, while it was still in the design/alteration phase at The Poinsett Bride! I couldn’t WAIT to see it, as the bell sleeves and lace sounded absolutely DREAMY! And then, there was the headpiece – with florals that held more than just blooms. Nicole had taken her grandmother's cherished vintage wax flowers and transformed them into a headpiece that crowned not only her but her maid of honor as well. It was a gesture that bound generations together, intertwining past and present! These are the wedding moments I absolutely LIVE for!
As a photographer, my goal is to capture more than just images; it's to encapsulate emotions, stories, and the essence of a moment in time. I felt honored to be part of their journey, to witness their story unfolding, and to capture their day on camera.
